Unanimously known as his “future other-half” after playing his onscreen squeeze in No Limits — don’t ask us why — Tracy Lee endearingly jokes about Elvin Ng’s mom, her “mother-in-law”, when raving about the latter’s mouthwatering pineapple tarts.
While she can’t get enough of her “mother-in-law’s” baked festive goodies and laments in agony when told “it’s not for sale”, the quick-thinking Elvin teased, “Marry me then (laughs),” as he fended off death stares from Tracy.
Is that a love confession we hear?
During a scene shoot for the upcoming Ch8 drama series C.L.I.F at the Home Team Academy, the duo bantered with each other like a pair of bickering lovebirds. No animosity, only warm affection and ‘brotherly friendliness’ as Tracy calls it.

Crossing paths with Elvin again in C.L.I.F, the Malaysian actress lets in on a little secret, “I’ll be giving him my first onscreen kiss,” and slightly squirmed at the thought of it.
According to her, it entails a love confession with a touch-and-go kiss on the lips.
“This time round, it [the kissing scene] will not involve any acting. My character will be in a shocked state with his sudden kiss; this is the most normal and common reaction between humans so that’s fine. It’s not one of those long passionate kiss so I’m okay with it (chuckles),” she added
Originally supposed to film the scene on their first day of filming, it was eventually cancelled due to bad weather or as the cheeky lass puts it, “the heavens did not want to play matchmaker”.
Playing a headstrong and independent Han Xiao Yang in the drama, the 2007 Star Search contestant had a major panic attack when she first received the script. Taking a departure from her usual roles in family-based drama serials such as the recently-concluded Prosperity, this is Tracy’s first time partaking in a uniformed series.
Reenacting her initial apprehensions, she shared, “I panicked for four days! I asked myself at home ‘What am I supposed to do now? This is the end of me. I’m dead’.”
“I feel that the next show [after C.L.I.F] which involved the most actions scenes would be No Limits… That show was called ‘No Limits’, but I feel that it was already my limit! (chuckles).”
To improve her stamina for the action scenes, Tracy has started climbing stairs – “130 steps” – on a daily basis, and tries to swim and practice yoga during her free time.
An ex-St John cadet from her high school days, the starlet followed military commands and actions seamlessly during filming. Her only obstacle so far was to overcome her fear of live firing practice session.
Tracy recalled in semi-amazement, “When I found out those were real bullets [we were practicing with], my heart beat accelerated; I broke out in cold sweat. When we wore the ear mufflers, I could clearly hear every shot and my own heartbeat.”
“Because we used real bullets to practice first, we eventually overcame our initial fear with the live rounds. When we used the blanks just now, we became more confident when we heard the familiar sound.”
