While u wait for us to reveal our mystery guest star, here’s a post to keep you happy

Even before actual shooting begins, the chemistry between the cast is undeniable! Despite long hours of having to hop in and out of different outfits, running from wardrobe to makeup studio to Ah Tan’s studio (Ah Tan is our beloved photographer that has been taking all the imaging photos!), the cast looked as good as new from the first to the very last photo taken! Perhaps everyone was still in the festive mood? Perhaps it was the presence of our 小帅神 that lightened up the mood of the day’s photo shoot?

For those of you who follow Double Bonus 双星报喜 on Channel 8, you will recognize Li Guo Yang(李国扬) who plays our impish Little Handsome God.

The moment 小帅神 stepped in, everyone looked like they had been possessed by the smiling Buddha, flashing a Systema ad-worthy smile. (>_o)

Initially I thought the star of the show was no doubt our Ah Ge Elvin Ng, but the moment Guo Yang stepped in, he stole the limelight from our A-Lister and got everyone going gaga over him like babies fighting for candy. Words can’t describe how everyone wanted a piece of him, and by a piece of him, I literally mean a piece of him!

Love him or hate him, cheeky as he may look, he is actually a very humble young boy. He dished out nothing but honest and well-thought out answers whenever his co-stars asked him any question. Look at how everyone is vying to carry this huge potato! And Rebecca just couldn’t get her hands off his cheeks!

Despite the pinching and poking at his cheeks, Guo Yang continued to flash his million-dollar impish smile for the camera. Respect! What’s more, he sportingly posed any candid pose suggested by his co-stars.

You must think Guo Yang is all-up for anything, but when asked to kiss Elvin on the cheek for a photo, he said “啊, 不要! 同性恋!” and reluctantly pressed his lips to Elvin’s face. (Hey 小弟弟, do you know how many girls are dying to be in your position?!)

Ok. Enough gushing about 小帅神。 For those of  you who, like me, can’t get enough of  小帅神，catch him in his role as Rebecca’s son, 宋仁杰(Song Ren Jie), a playful and witty boy that uses his babyish charms to get his way.

Rebecca: Just now when he called me Mummy, I got the goosebumps!

Rebecca plays 宋心玫(Song Xin Mei), Elvin’s younger sis who runs an aromatherapy shop inherited by their mother. Her husband left her for another woman, leaving her to single-handedly raise 仁杰(Ren Jie)。She does her best to juggle both her career and family, making her seem like the perfect woman. However, deep down, she is still a 小女人 who yearns for a man to take care of her.  She meets her first love along the way, and sparks rekindle, but as fate would have it, she is the third party in the relationship, leaving her once again, entangled in the webs of love.

Before I let 仁杰 distract me from the main cast of the show, here’s an introduction of the cast from the top.

Elvin Ng, our lead actor, plays 宋浩民(Song Hao Min),Richard Low’s youngest son. An ambitious fashion designer who inherited his mother’s passion for concocting aroma fragrances. Once full of zest for life, he goes into recluse and blames himself after the car accident which caused 恩琳(En Lin- Zhou Ying’s character) to be paralyzed waist-down.

Our guest star plays 胡丽琴(For our non-Chinese speaking fans, the Chinese words translates to ‘Hu Li Qin’ which sounds like ‘Hu Li Jing’ which means Vixen/ Fox Spirit in Chinese). The female lead of the show, 胡丽琴, is the Fox Spirit, banished to Earth for being unable to suppress her feelings of love in the celestial heavens. The only way she would be permitted back to the Celestial Court was if she could find a man willing to sacrifice his life to love her (as described in our first Absolutely Charming post 猛男黄俊雄 糊里糊涂爱上…它! ). Her initial plan to seduce 宋天成(Song Tian Cheng- played by Richard Low) was gradually aborted as she developed an unconditional love for 浩民。Through frequent contact with 浩民，she realized that he was a kind-hearted man that showed great care and concern to the people around him, be it his family or to her. He was even willing to selflessly sacrifice his job for the girl he loved.   丽琴 falls head-over-heels in love with 浩民。Unfortunately, the apple of  浩民’s eye is none other than…

谢恩琳(Xie En Lin), played by Zhou Ying! A natural born beauty, 恩琳 modeled part-time during her school days. Upon graduating, she becomes a rising star in the modeling circle. Just as she is confidently awaiting her big break, her legs are paralyzed in a tragic road accident. Grieving in pain, she bids farewell to the world of glitz to become a fashion designer. A rocky career leaves her in bitterness. Upon finding out that 浩民, who is helping her to advance her career, is also the culprit responsible for her handicap, 恩琳 begins to plot her revenge, even pretending to love 浩民 so as to break up 丽琴 and 浩民。

Zhang Zhen Huan plays 巫子康(Wu Zi Kang), 浩民’s good friend and business partner. He is also恩琳’s benefactor. Initially he does not have a good impression of  丽琴,but he is touched when he sees how sincere 丽琴 is in helping 恩琳。He falls for 丽琴。

Richard Low plays 浩民’s father, 宋天成。His bark is louder than his bite. He may look all fierce and hostile on the surface, but deep inside him resides a lonely old man who wishes for nothing more than a harmonious family. Ever since his eldest son was sentenced to jail, he spends his days sitting at home awaiting the return of his son. In a moment of loneliness, he succumbs to the Fox Spirit’s ploy and foolishly believes that she is his illegitimate daughter. To ease his guilty conscience, he decides to put her up.

Patricia Mok plays Liu Bin Bin, 浩民’s kind-hearted but nosy aunt. On discovering that the Fox Spirit is living with her brother, 天成, she imagines that they are a pair of old-and-young lovers. She warns 心玫to be on guard in case her father’s fortune is siphoned off by the “vixen”.

With a cast as colorful as this, Absolutely Charming is sure to be a charmer! (^^)\/

Aside from having an academically-brighter older sibling in real life, which is similar to the show’s premise where Elvin Ng plays her brainier and more capable brother.

As usual, deities in the Celestial Court swoon over the sensual Fox Spirit. Unable to suppress her feelings of love, she is banished to the mortal world by the Queen Mother of Heaven and the Jade Emperor to undergo the test of mortal love. Of course, no test is complete without its challenge!

With her enchanting looks, Fox Spirit was confident of nailing a guy to fall head-over-heels in love with her within 3 days. Much to her horror, she has turned into an ugly woman with a slap mark on her face! To top it off, the moment she attempts to seduce a man…she develops an acrid body odour!! eeew~

A laugh-out-loud comedy drama entwined with the mission of finding one’s true love, ‘Absolutely Charming’《糊里糊涂爱上它》is sure to keep you LOL-ing at the edge of your seats and going “awww” all at once!
